i've scored really well, however i got stuck on question number 26, and i don't understand it. Would you mind explaining it to me please.

36 - 46 + 28 = 37 - 40 + (___)

If you mean that one then it's tricky because it goes into negative numbers. There is some debate whether negative numbers occur in these questions but we have added them just in case.

left hand side is

36-46=-10
-10+28 = 18

so the right side has to come to 18 too.

37 - 40 = -3
so to get to 18 we need to add 21

Hopefully that was one of the choices!

I see, you were talking about the online tests. In those, the questions are shuffled around each time you take a test so Q26 for you isn't necessarily the same for me. Ok, now I know which question you are stuck on I can help you.

Had you watched the video for this type you would have been able to do it. Think of how the letters are positioned in the alphabet - P is 11 from end of alphabet, K is 11 from start of alphabet. That should enable you to answer it.

This one is a bit trickier than the usual type because the first letter of the first pair goes with the second letter of the second pair.

Sounds strange but we have seen one of these in an Nfer paper so it's good to be aware of these in case one comes up.
