I downloaded the eight papers from the Chukra website and gave one of them to my son today to do as part of his preparation for the real thing. He ran out of time and several questions remained unanswered. In one sense this is good as it establishes further where he is and the challenge we are faced with. But I'm a bit worried because the papers we have picked up prior to this has less questions (Chukra has 80 to be done in 50 minutes) and seemed overall easier. So are the Chukra tests reflective of what my son will do when he sits his 11+ this coming November (in Southend)?

Our papers do tend to be on the harder end of the spectrum. We designed them that way on purpose. When I say they are harder, it doesn't mean that you will not face questions of the same difficulty in the real test. It just means that there are MORE of the harder ones included in Chuckra papers. We feel this is better preparation for the real test. There is no point doing lots of the easier questions. Most people get the easy ones correct so to have the edge you need to get good at cracking the hard ones too.

After using our tests for a while try the nfer tests and you should find you finish them a bit quicker than Chuckra papers.
