Verbal ReasoningAnn Milton Verbal Reasoning Paper 1 Letter Pairs Memory Sheet - Help remembering letter pairs for Mirror Type Questions. Submitted by Gill Bowmer.
Vocab ListNfer Vocab List - Submitted by Christine. A list of words which have appeared in past nfer papers complete with meanings. Very useful for assessing the level of vocabulary required but do not assume these same words will appear.
Crash course in EnglishAnother one from Chistine, she calls this a dictionary of English terms. I'd describe it as a mini crash course in English. I think a few adults would find this useful too.

Thanks so much for this - it really gives an idea of what to look out for. As the (old) mother of a seven year old I had to think hard! But at least I have plenty of time to get him used to it...
Is anyone else concerned with the lack of clarity in some of the wuestions, not just in this paper but others? For rexample, questions 7 on. I believe it should state that no letters can be deleted. We cannot assume that kids will know that you cannot omit letters. My son has just started doing papers and there has been quite a bit of confusion over some instructions - perhaps not a problem for kids who have been doing lots of papers but unfair on less experienced kids. As Jon noted, Q13 has 2 answers and past papers also contain examples of more than one acceptable answer.
Hi Question 46 also has ''hang''......than goats.
and I think Question 79 could also be ''solve'' There is also an error on the answer sheet for Question 35 should be Destroy? Thanks for the test I managed 84% hope my daughter can do better!!
I think number 15 could be either (TOO) i.e TOO TH (Putting the TOO in front) or (OOT) i.e T OOT H (Putting the OOT between the first letter T and H the last letter.
Number 69, If READS is QDZCR, what does VYQYC mean? From Q to R, you add 1, from D to E you move up 1 letter, likewise from Z to A, C to D and R to S. We now need to find out what VYQYC means. If you go up one letter for each of the letters, you get WZRZD. I don't understand how they got WATCH. Can someone explain please?
Question 77, I got tyros for the answer and not tyres. Can someone explain how they arrived at tyres please?
theese questions have a mixed answers i don't understand all th questions above are right but i think chuckra should check the test
I thought this was a useful addition to the already large choice of Chukra verbal reasoning tests. I felt my son will be able to improve his future performance by doing this test and we were able to further identify the weak areas. However, my son got only just over 50% in the time allowed, failing to complete a significant number of questions in the time. He did eventually complete all the questions and we were able to go over the approach and answers together afterward. He felt it was more difficult than the norm and the absence of multiple choice seemed to add to the diffulty. A final thought: I am coming to the view that my son is borderline in his 11+ chances but will continue to help him give it his best shot. I would also ask those proud parents who seem to want to outdo others in boasting how well their child is doing in these tests (which I hope and believe reflect the real thing), to spare a thought on those who are feeling the struggle.
My daughter also struggled with this and I think the lack of multiple choice answers was part of it but also there were quite a few confusing questions - for example how is goat the opposite of ram - can one animal be the "opposite" of another animal?
Danielle - I agree with your comments about READS (Q70 I think) - I can't see how they got their answer - although Q15 does have to be TOO as the question asks for a three letter word which can be added - so only TOO and not OOT qualify as a correct
Danielle - I also agree with you on 77 - has to be tyros there is no way you can get tyres from that question
Hello. I am so grateful for the vocab list I have just received. I took the liberty to make flashcards from the list using www.flashcardexchnage.com and have downloaded the file as a pdf. If you want you can also add the pdf flash card file along with the vocab list? let me know if you aree interested, it would be my way of doing some service. :)

There are quite a few errors in the Ann milton paper with some questions that are questionable; paper should be treated as just a fun activity to spot the mistakes and not a timed activity to check progress.
Thank you Ann for your time and effort, my son found it challenging and had him in a frowned expression, which i don't often see him in.
