should we be studying during the summer holidays? 2 Months ago

I'm wondering how hard to work my daughter from now until her first entrance exam mid-Sept? Up until now she has been doing one hour a week VR or NVR - for the past four months - she always scores in the region of 90%.
She is going to also sit a maths paper - for which she has had no practice so far, and I think she needs it. But I also want her to have fun in the summer and relax. What's the best sort of study schedule?

Sorry for not replying sooner.
Yes, definitely practise during the holidays. How much you practise is up to you to decide. Just make sure that your daughter's brain is still in 11+ mode.
We do advise having at least 2 weeks during the holidays where no practice occurs. Otherwise your child may get frustrated and that can sometimes cause a dip in performance.

I've been thinking same thing, we always go away for entire school holidays, and this year we were planning on taking NVR, VR and Math papers with us. Now we have decided a compromise, she will have to practise while away as we can't 'waste' 5 weeks, however we will give her a break near end of holiday where all she will have to do is the 'Maths Training' on her beloved DS.
If anyone had a DS and hasn't got this 'game' I recommend it for the hundred cell method.

As a concerned parent like yourself, i have been worrying about the same thing. My daughter has also been studying for the 11+ for the past eight weeks, since we found out that the tests had moved forward to September. We have discussed this in length together and if it means the chance of a grammer school pass, my daughter said it was worth working for an hour a day during the school hols. If your daughter has scored 90 on non verbal and verbal, that sounds really brilliant, but i would advise checking out the maths. I wouldn't like anybody to realise as i did how my daughter was lacking in so many basic maths skills, even though she was in the top maths group in her year.My daughter has never studied before during the hols, but lets face it the 11+ is the only exam in their lives that they can only take once,i think it's worth a little effort.I'm backing my daughter on this all the way, and we practise together in a fun way with drinks and snacks in front of the pc using this fantastic website.

She needs to do Maths as so much is not taught in school until after Year 5.Go through past papers and teach her the facts she does not know. I think the Maths is the one that needs the most work, however she also needs a break of 2 weeks sometime as others have said
